National Service Scheme (N.S.S.)

Under National Service Scheme a contingent of 200 volunteers both boys and girls have been sanctioned through the Panjab University by the Ministry of Education and Social Welfare, Government of India to provide opportunity to the students to join valuable practical experience in community service through such programmes as eradication of illiteracy, rural reconstruction, national integration, health etc. It is hoped that this will develop a sense of participation in nation building among the students by providing creative outlets for their energies.
